How to use it
- Choose the PDF you want to convert. The tool shows how many pages it has.
- Pick JPG for smaller files or PNG for lossless images with the sharpest text.
- Choose a resolution: 72 DPI for screens, 150 DPI for sharing, or 300 DPI for printing.
- Convert all pages, or only the pages you list, such as 1-3, 5, 8-.
- Download each image, or download them all at once as a ZIP. Files are named after the PDF and page number, like report-page-03.jpg.
Questions
- What resolution should I choose?
- 150 DPI works well for viewing and sharing. Choose 300 DPI if you plan to print the images or need small text to stay sharp, and 72 DPI when you want the smallest files.
- Should I pick JPG or PNG?
- JPG files are smaller and suit pages with photos. PNG is lossless, so text and lines stay perfectly crisp, but the files are usually larger. For JPG you can also set the quality from 50% to 100%.
- Why is one of my images smaller than I expected?
- Browsers, especially on iPhone, cannot create extremely large images. If a page would be larger than about 16 megapixels, it is scaled down to fit, and the result tells you when this happened.
- Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
- No. The pages are drawn in your browser and the PDF is never uploaded to a server.
- Why can't I convert my PDF?
- Password-protected PDFs cannot be converted with this tool. Remove the password first with software that has the right to open the file.
