Remove Image Background

Cut out people, pets, products and other subjects from your photos without sending them anywhere. An AI model runs on your own device, keeps your original pixels and makes only the background transparent or a color you pick. Choose People & pets for soft hair and fur, or Products & objects for clean outlines.

Questions

Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. The AI model runs in your browser on your own device, so your photos never leave it.
Why does the first use take longer?
The first time you use a mode, your browser downloads its AI model: about 25 MB for People & pets or about 4.5 MB for Products & objects. After that the browser keeps it, so later visits start right away.
How long does each photo take?
On a fast computer about 1 to 2 seconds per photo; slower devices take longer. Photos are processed one at a time, and each result appears when it is ready.
Which mode should I choose?
Use People & pets for portraits and animals, where it keeps hair and fur edges soft. Use Products & objects for items such as shoes, packages or plants, where it gives clean outlines and leaves out the shadow underneath.
Will the cutout lose quality?
No. The original pixels are kept and only the background changes. Very large photos over 30 megapixels are reduced to save memory, and the tool tells you when that happens.
